Wind Energy For Home

Kristin Said:

how can i produce wind energy for my home and how much does the equipment range in price..?

We Answered:

It just depends on your area and practicability you have to set the tower, turbine and blades where they will receive the most velocity of the wind, you'll have to purchase storage cell for the energy produced. You'll still have to stay connected with the local energy company for those slight days and see if they will give you credit for the excess energy you will produce. Th old Mother Earth magazines usually have articles about where to pick up wind generators and most of the books about alternate energies can give you better tips and cost efficiencies.

Home Energy Alternatives - Is there anything Better Than Solar / Wind Energy for Power Generation?

We Answered:

Geothermal is a common alternative but my own favorite is magnetic energy.

It's a fascinating area of power generation, its use so far seen only in high speed train travel. For power generation, magnetic energy extends the idea of renewablility and gives it a cooler, cleaner twist.

It eliminates the need for expensive solar panels or large wind farms to generate electricity. Magnetic power can work in relatively compact spaces to power a home.

How can I generate electricity for my home by using wind energy?

We Answered:

First, a quick check with your local building department will tell you whether it's forbidden, and if not, whether there's even a chance they will issue you a building permit for it. Check with your neighbors, since if they object, you're unlikely to get a permit. Unless you're a certified professional engineer with lots of time on your hands to do the research, hire a professional to evaluate your site and advise you on options. You need steady, strong winds much of the time.

Since wind is intermittent, you need either a grid connection or lots of (expensive) storage.

In my opinion, this is not a practical technology for home deployment.

How to make wind energy at home?

We Answered:

Wow! Your heart is in the right place and your windmill might be in the right place too, but they are very tricky to build. Balance must be perfect or nearly so. Most people buy the windmills or wind turbines and still have trouble setting them up just right. If you want it just for fun, you might get away with one of the short windmills sold for decoration.I trust that you can find wiring diagrams online. I think that I have seen them in books.

How do you take wind energy to energy for your home?

We Answered:

What you see outside is essentially a wind powered battery charger. The batteries inside power an inverter which will supply 120VAC to selected circuits in the house.
I'm putting together something similar which may help you understand what is being done. Read through my web page for wiring diagrams, charge controller, tower drawings, pictures, etc.
