Solar Panels For Energy
John Said:
Why isn't the federal government willing to subsidize solar energy panels for homes? We Answered:
great idea...but the time hasent come yet.Edwin Said:
How much do solar energy panels cost?We Answered:
Buying solar panels can be very expensive, especially for installation. If your average daily usage is 6.6 kilowatt per hour, then you would need a 2 kilowatt system that could generate ten kilowatts per hour in a day. This system could cost between $10,000 to $20,000. Of course, the higher wattage, the higher the cost.
There are some alternatives to spending thousands of dollars on solar panels.
1) Buy several solar panel kits and link them together yourself.
2) Combine solar with wind power to decrease the number of panels you will need.
3) Build your own solar panels for around $200 each.
If you are handy with some basic soldering, then you can make your own solar panels.

Why isn't the federal government willing to subsidize solar energy panels for homes? We Answered:
great idea...but the time hasent come yet. I came accross a new, proven and tested home made wind power system and solar power system which eliminates our electricity bills. It was written by a Renewable energy enthusiasts Michael Harvey the diy called Earth4energy. You can get your copy to save energy and help environment while eliminating your power bills. Get it from here:http://how-to-build-cheap-solar-energy.blogspot.com/

What companies are leading the way in producing affordable solar energy panels for homes and businesses? We Answered:
That depends on what type of solar energy you mean... There is Thermal Solar and there is Photovoltaic ( PV ). Thermal solar uses the sun to heat water or some other liquid to transfer that energy to a system that requires heat or simply so you can have hot water. There also thermal solar systems that generate electricity but they again use heat to turn water to steam or another heat usage method to turn a turbine or generator. The PV panels is what most people think of when they think solar panels. A panel that converts photons into electrical energy. Most of the PV panels (~86%) out there use silicon based systems that are often costly to produce. Some of the new technologies have to the possibility to produce cheaper panels but that technology is more than 10 years out...
Thermal panels are distributed by many many companies. Here is a big one that does pool heating systems... check out their commercial systems.

Here is a smaller company that does mainly residential stuff.

PV panels has a large list...
BP (solar)
Conergy
Evergreen
GE
Kyocera------> probably one of the largest
Mitsubishi
Powerup BSP
Sanyo
Sharp
Shell
SolarWorld
SunTech
SunWize
Unisolar

What is a good book for learning about solar panels and solar energy? We Answered:
You can go for "Earth4Energy". It offers a lot of fantastic home made solar solutions on their site, which can be built easily, for the low cost of less than $200.The features are :
* Full and detailed instructions given which can be easily understood by a layman or the unskilled for building a home made solar panel.
* Other details on how to obtain the components available in the neighborhood material store for preparing the home made solar system.
* Tips on how to construct the alternative energy generators that is not readily available anywhere else.
* One time investment - and life long updates to the manual and video series, at no additional cost.
* Full cash back if you are not saving hundreds of dollars per month on your energy bill after using the system for eight months.
* Detailed instructions explained by videos
There are also testimonials given on this site. You can go through them.

All the best :)
Gene Said:
In solar energy panels what is the method adopted/meterials used.?We Answered:
One of the properties of silicon is that when light strikes it, electrons flow on its surface. You can make electricity out of that. Other solar converters include heat exchange devices, focusing sunlight to boil water, for instance. But the direct light-to-electricity property of silicon is what powers the most efficent solar collectors.
