Business Solar Energy

Gail Said:

how can start a solar energy business?

We Answered:

You rent a space, buy merchandise to show to customers, offer planning and installation service and then advertise. Of course that assumes you understand how solar panels and collectors work and you know how to install them without breaking the homeowners' roof or your own neck.

I would like to Start Solar Energy Business. But i don't how to start and where to start?

We Answered:

I agree, it would be a great business to get into, right now the manufacturer cannot keep up with the demand.

But I probably know less than you do.

however, we could do on line searches, everything we need to know is on the net, we just have to find them.

Solar Energy Business?

We Answered:

It's not worth the risk because it takes an immense amount of solar panels to get enough energy for one moderate activity like t.v. how do you expect to have a whole business? I mean solar energy isn't a new concept so don't you think people have thought about it and thought against it... if it worked well then why are we wasting so much time and money finding other things? Also, a big problem with solar energy is that you can't get all that energy at once in a small solar panal, that's why they are mainly used to charge batteries and such. Give it up dude.

Financial benefits of using solar energy - Business?

We Answered:

It's nice to know you're doing your bit for the planet, but it will be years before you recoup what you've paid out for installation. Nice to have free hot water all summer though.

what kind of business?
do you have a plan?
are you going to install solar panels?

Looking for ideas on how to start a business in the solar energy field any ideas out there?

We Answered:

Solar installers are making a ton of money right now. It is a very fast growing profession where one-person company is feasible. You may need an assistant or two when you perform an installation. You could use contract labor at first until your business is well enough established to afford full time workers. It should have fairly low capital requirements as well. A few thousand dollars in tools and training is all that is required. The only big ticket item would be a truck. That is probably the best place for an individual to get involved in solar.

You will need training. Solar installation requires electrician knowledge, roofing knowledge, solar system integration knowledge, as well as permitting and system financing knowledge.

There are a number of organizations offering training. I recommend you to your homework before selecting one. This field is growing rapidly and therefore is starting to attract con artists. So protect yourself.
