Trying to convince my parents to get a pool this summer..what are the average costs associated with pools?

We Answered:

Initial cost is the hardest part to overcome. Once you are past that the cost to operate a standard pool (no heater) can be less than $200 per season. If it has a heater then the price goes up quite a bit due to the gas use to keep the water warm.

How much does it cost to have a septic system put in?

We Answered:

My experience has been that a system would cost about $10,000., plus permits.
Of course, your mileage may vary substantially due to location, drainage, local ordinance, actual size of the tank, actual lot size etc.
Also, if you are required to construct a sand trap as part of the system, that may cost additional funds as well. It seems like most localities are now making that a requirement, but you may find different where you are located.

pool construction question?

We Answered:

There are companies that let you do a lot of your own work on building a pool. At least here in California. They will help you with plans, permits, and any portion of the job you can't or don't want to do. Like skilled concrete, plumbing, or electrical that have to pass building codes. Go on line to pool builders.

pool construction?

We Answered:

Do you have a back hoe and dump truck and and place to dump all the stuff? Or do you have time to dig the hole with a shovel? Seriously you need to check rental costs for a Hoe and truck etc., plus dump permits and stuff. It could be cheaper to have the pool people dig it......

How much does a pool cost Pleasanton Ca?

We Answered:

you are in big trouble... i grew up in Pleasanton and they charge extra because of the town you live in!! The estimate is free.. have every pool company come out and give you one.. I would also call the company's from Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon.. every company from every town that will come out.. don't listen to the horror stories..as long as you go with a company that has a good rep.. you should be fine.. but.. always plan on the pool to cost more than the estimate..can i come and swim????
