Actually it is not difficult to construct cast insitu concrete frame and precast flooring, first you have to do the frames and you fix the precast slabs afterward, that is similar to the high rise steel structure building the precast elements are fixed after completing the structural steel frame. actually when do the structural design there shall be a provision for fixing the precast elements, to be integrated with the over all structure.
To do precast frame is not recommended because of having joints which will weaken the structure.

Florida Building Code allows both steel reinforced CMU and wood framed walls. Everyone is going to have an opinion on what material is stronger or could withstand certain wind loads, however no one can predict hurricane devestation and what material will stand up better over time.

The builder will have drawings that are designed for the wind load in the area that you live. South Florida is in a HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) and the drawings have engineered criteria set forth in the specific volume of the Florida Building Code called "Test Protocols for HVHZ". You can find it online at www.floridabuilding.org.

My own humble opinion, after working for FEMA in disaster assessment for our building department after the hurricanes last year - age has more to do with hurricane destruction than any other factor. If you are looking new constrcution, purchase what you want. The Florida Building Code and HVHZ criteria are very strict and as long as your builder, builds like the drawing and it is designed to be code compliant you won't have a problem as long as you own the property.

The auto parts stores will have this..it is Decal and Sticker remover..made by 3M.. I have used it for several projects and it hasn't let me down yet.

We Answered:

We use pumper trucks for large pours, buckets for smaller pours. They hold about 3/4 yard of concrete. Look under concrete placing on the site below. You can contact them to see if they have any suppliers for you. Hope this helps.

150mm hardcore, 25mm sand, 1200g DPM, 50 mm insulation, 20mm insulation to sides to avoid cold bridge, wire fabrication on spacers, install manufactures underfloor heating pipes/kit and pressure test, ST4 concrete. DPM suppose to overlap DPC on walls but can't do unless new build.

Thought the conversion would have to go through building regs and this would be detailed on the plans.

The above has come back from the local council for a current planned extension. Thought it would be the same for a conversion.

The heating pipes will come out of the floor in one area to a manifold.
