Clean Energy Program

Roger Said:

Why are republicans selling the American people to Big Oil? Real Energy independence or Big money for them?

We Answered:

Note that when they mention profits they fail to show them as a percentage. Exxon has modest profits in reality, being only about 7 or 8%. Much smaller than grotesque operations like Planned Parenthood who charge the taxpayers several million per abortion and make billions and billions a year.

Nevertheless, it's obvious that the democrats like high gas prices and care nothing about the average person having to pay so much to fill their cars. I know they're heavily invested in the oil companies, but their agenda is mostly for power over the people. We need to wake up to these socialists.

Over 75% of the country wants us to leave the oil companies alone so they can drill more oil and lower the prices. Why are the Democrats so out of touch with the wants of the people?

Oh, wait, I already answered that. They only care about power and money and basically have total disdain for the poor and middle class.

Good to know, but now we have to get them out of office as quickly as possible. Since the Democrats took over congress, the economy has gone down and gas prices have gone up. Just a taste of what will happen if the Obama puppet gets into power.

What is Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Programs?

We Answered:

With Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing you can make your home more efficient and add a solar energy system to take advantage of the San Diego sun. The cost of these improvements is billed through your property taxes, amortized over 20 years at a very low rate.

And it gets better.

By including various efficiency measures for your home, properly sizing the solar system and taking advantage of state and federal solar incentives, you will have a net positive cash flow from day one, and get there with almost zero out of pocket costs!

Your property tax bill goes up by a little bit; your electricity bills go down by a lot.

PACE San Diego offers free educational seminars and complimentary consultations

To take advantage of PACE you need to act quickly. Because the features of PACE are so appealing, demand for both the County and the City of San Diego's Clean Generation programs is expected to be huge, quickly outstripping the first allotment of dollars allocated to fund them. The associated incentives through CSI (California Solar Initiative) are also quickly getting reserved. We urge you to act now to lock in the best possible rebate, and to make sure you get started on your PACE funding application, assuring your place in the first round program.

Is the technology almost ready for Unlimited Energy resources? Will one Company Control it?

We Answered:

erm. I think I know the technology which they were working on, It is a long way off, It has been likened to try to keep treacle on the back of a spoon,100 years or so as I remember, not really relevant to this generation's environmental concerns.

I would imagine only a very broad pooling of resources would manage to to make any progress on it, no one company would go it alone, far too risky, it may not even make it out of the experimental lab.

Iran is coming clean on their nuclear program... Any chance they will clean up their act on human rights?

We Answered:

Not a chance.
The only reason they are coming clean (if you want to call it that) is because they were caught with their hands in the cookie jar!
They are an "ISLAMIC" country.
That's important to know, what's just as important is reading the "fine print" concerning Sharia Law. As far as they are concerned you and I are infidels and we are to surrender to Islam or die.
Period.
There is no grey area here for them. None whatsoever. They believe that the world should be under one Caliphate and they are the ones to do it with their brethren in other Islamic states. And they are to do it by any means possible. A true Muslim will kill and be killed for the cause. There is no such thing as a "moderate Muslim" to them. (actually there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim at all, either you adhere to the Quar'an or you are not a Muslim but a wannabe)
There lays the danger.
They fear all and any who are not Muslims. First and foremost they fear the Jews, then the Christians, after that any infidel is to be feared and done away with should they not surrender to Islam. So inspectors or human rights or any watch group would be held with both fear and contempt by any true Muslim as they would be ones who would disagree with their godforsaken Mahumed or his set of rules to run the religion.
You and I and the likes of we two would be looked upon with such fear and contempt, it doesn't matter that we are not inspectors or human rights groups or a watch group. We are infidels. That's reason enough for them to force us to surrender to Islam or kill us.
If they could do that here in North America they would. But the demographics will not allow it ....... yet.
But look at Europe. See what's happening there? By 2050 the demographics of Europe will be so that the Muslims will outrank the Swedes, French, Germans, Belgiums, Dutch, Spanish, English, Italians, Swiss, Portuguese, Danish, and any other nation that is currently kow-towing to the rights of the religious fanatics.
The European countries are losing their cultures to the rise of Islam to such an extent that if it isn't stopped now like it was in Vienna in 1685 then by the end of the century their will be no more Europe.
We will have Eurabia.

Why do some people fail to understand the value of the space program?

We Answered:

First, a couple comments to posters:

I'm glad, souvannykai and john, that you support the space program. But...

souvannykai, we *did not* evolve from apes -- and no knowledgeable person claims that we did. I'll leave it at that, since further detail is irrelevant to the question. I agree we should continue to explore the ocean, too!

john, putting the space program on hold until we've eliminated disease and poverty would (a) likely mean putting it on hold for centuries, if not indefinitely... and (b) be counterproductive to the very goals you mentioned. The space program has *contributed* to medical research and to the economy, and will continue to expand our knowledge and options in the future, in ways we can't even foresee... and it has saved countless lives by aiding in hurricane prediction and the discovery of ozone depletion, to name just two examples.

To get back to the question, I believe some of the fault, in America, at least, lies with NASA. I think they could do a better job promoting space exploration by educating the public about its benefits.

I believe, further, that too many people are short-sighted, and cannot grasp anything outside their daily existence. They cannot think outside their own little communities, much less their planet.

You cited very similar arguments in favor of the space program to ones I made in my own post, which you can find at the bottom of this page:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…

Thank you (and the other promoters, here) for helping to spread the word! Some very good points have been raised.

I do not work in the space program, by the way; I'm just an ardent supporter.

Are there any courses / programmes offered on clean/renewable energy for non-engineers?

We Answered:

i think you can take any of the LEED certification programs to learn more; i just heard of it through this company called GotGreenKits.
this company called GotGreenKits came up with this clean-by-color system to educate ppl about sustainable green cleaning to conserve energy.
in case ur curious, this is a natural green cleaning system that actually works a lot better than most products; and the system is intend to improve indoor air quality for the kids and family members! It was first used by professional cleaning service to clean doctor's office and real estate buildings, and you can ONLY buy their products online!

Johnny Said:

Wouldn't it be better to spend $250 billion on a New Manhattan Project for clean, sustainable domestic energy?

We Answered:

Great point. But be careful...you might confuse the government with your clear logic and critical thinking.

How would it not be beneficial to create jobs and wealth...instead of feeding it to Wall St? I don't know...it seems so obvious to me, yet the gov't just wants to waste my money. Ugh...

Discuss It!
